Introduction
Every relationship; marriage, friendship, ministry partnership, or family bond, will face moments of tension, misunderstanding, or even betrayal. It is not a sign of failure; it is the reality of human frailty. But in the midst of the emotional noise, God continually points us back to one foundational principle:
Love: which is the answer.
Not emotional love.
Not reactive love.
Not conditional love.
But Agape, the God-kind of love that heals, restores, disarms, and elevates.
Important fact about Love:
1. Love Is Not Weakness but Warfare:
Many people think loving those who hurt you is a sign of weakness. But spiritually, it is the opposite. Love is the highest realm of spiritual intelligence. It breaks cycles, dismantles accusations, and removes the foothold of darkness. 1 John4:18.
When Jesus said:
“Bless those who curse you…”
He was not asking for passivity.
He was showing us the most powerful way to win battles that cannot be fought physically.
Responding with love breaks demonic momentum.
2. Bless Them Even While They Curse You
This is not natural. This is supernatural.
To bless is to declare something higher than the offence. Blessing them does not excuse their action. It protects your heart. It keeps your spirit free from bitterness.
Because bitterness blinds you from your own destiny.
3. Give Even When They Don’t Deserve It
Agape love sees beyond behavior.
It sees potential.
It sees destiny.
This is why Jesus fed Judas…
washed Judas’ feet…
loved Judas…
even though He knew betrayal was coming.
Why?
Because love is your identity, not their behavior.
4. Keep Your Hands Open, Your Heart Clean.
When people hurt us, the flesh wants to shut down emotionally.
But closed hearts attract closed heavens. ( offence and bitterness shuts the heavens).
A clean heart keeps your prayers powerful,
your discernment sharp, and your spirit sensitive to God.
An open hand means:
“I refuse to let what you did turn me into what I am not.”
5. The 7-Time Confession
Your heart follows your confession.
Say it intentionally and prophetically:
“I love (—name—).
I believe the best of (him/her).”
Say it seven times.
Not because you feel it, but because you are training your spirit to enter the God-kind of love.
These confessions shift atmospheres.
6. Keep Praise Alive
Praise protects emotional balance.
Praise guards your mind.
Praise sweeps away the fog of offence.
Where praise is alive, bitterness cannot survive.
7. Your Accusers Will Return: The Joseph Principle
The same people who once misunderstood you, will one day recognize your relevance.
Joseph did not get elevated because his brothers accepted him.
He became relevant because God had need of him in the future.
Do not let today’s treatment determine your identity. Your future is larger than your pain. Hallelujah
8. Enjoy the Journey , Focus on those Who Bring Joy
Not everyone is meant to walk closely with you.
Some bring heaviness, suspicion, accusation, comparison, or emotional turbulence.
Focus on those who bring:
– Peace
– Light
– Joy
– Honour
– Stability
Let love lead you, but let wisdom guide the closeness.
9. Overcome Your Fears Keep Seeing the Future
Fear destroys connection.Love nurtures it.
Keep your eyes on the future God showed you. No temporary season should be allowed to limit your permanent destiny.
Conclusion
Love is the answer, not because situations deserve love, but because you are a carrier of God’s nature.
To Do:
Respond from strength.
Forgive quickly.
Keep moving.
Take territories.
This is the first foundation of kingdom relationships.
