Our Divine Assignment as Custodians

GOD CARES FOR LITTLE CHILDREN

Our Divine Assignment as Custodians

“Then Jesus called for the children and said to the disciples, ‘Let the children come to me. Don’t stop them! For the Kingdom of God belongs to those who are like these children.’”

Gospel of Luke 18:16 (NLT)

Children matter deeply to God.

He does not see them as “small” — He sees them as precious seeds of destiny.

If God cares so much for them, what then is our role?

OUR ROLE IN THEIR LIVES

To Protect Guard their innocence. Shield them from harm — physically, emotionally, and spiritually. To Guide They do not yet know the way. We are their compass. To Train Them in the Way of the Lord Teach them God’s Word, prayer, and reverence for His presence. To Expose Them to Knowledge that Builds — Not Destroys Feed their minds with truth, creativity, discipline, and wisdom. To Love, Provide, and Care for Them Love must be visible, felt, and consistent. To Pray for Them Intercede for their future, friendships, choices, and calling. To Live an Exemplary Life Before Them Children learn more from what we do than what we say.

WHAT WE MUST AVOID

Do not scare them with fear-based religion. Do not introduce them to darkness prematurely. Monitor what they watch. Be mindful of what they listen to. Pay attention to who influences them.

Little eyes are watching.

Little ears are listening.

Little hearts are absorbing everything.

WHY THIS IS IMPORTANT

You are a custodian.

One day, you will give an account of how you influenced, guided, and supported their growth.

Parenting and mentoring are not casual assignments —

They are sacred trusts.

THE SPIRIT TO CULTIVATE

Love is patient.

Love is kind.

Love forbears.

Be patient with their questions.

Be kind in correction.

Be firm without cruelty.

Be consistent without harshness.

Children thrive where love is steady.

FINAL CHARGE

Let them come to Jesus.

Do not hinder them.

Do not frustrate their faith.

Do not mock their innocence.

Raise them strong.

Raise them grounded.

Raise them loved.

Embrace Peace.

“A peaceful heart leads to a healthy body;

jealousy is like cancer in the bones.”

Proverbs 14:30 (NLT)

Reflection (Heartbeat of God Publications style):

Peace is not passive,it is powerful. A heart anchored in God’s peace becomes a healing environment for the whole being. But jealousy, left unchecked, eats quietly from within. It corrodes joy, fractures relationships, and weakens strength at the core. Scripture reveals a spiritual law: what rules the heart shapes the body and destiny.

Prayer Declaration:

Lord, I receive Your peace. I release envy, comparison, and resentment.

Let Your life flow through my heart and restore strength to my bones.

I choose gratitude, contentment, and love today and always. Amen.
