God’s Standard for Employers and Leaders

Pay at Due Time — A Call to Righteousness

Leviticus19:13

““Do not take advantage of anyone or rob him. Do not hold back the wages of someone you have hired, not even for one night.”(GNBDC).

This scripture came up in my heart this morning as I was fellowship with God, it was so strong that I had to check my books in case I have missed any. I believe God is deeply concerned about how we treat those who work for us.

In Leviticus 19:13, He commands that we must not exploit or delay the wages of a labourer, even for one night. This is not just a financial instruction; it is a matter of justice, integrity, and compassion.

When wages are delayed, it can affect livelihoods, families, and dignity. Paying at the right time reflects the character of God which is faithful, just, and dependable. As employers, leaders, or stewards, we are called to honour those who serve with fairness and promptness.

Timely payment is not generosity, it is righteousness.

Maximize Your Time

Jeff Bezos once noted:

By“The first hour of the day is when your brain is at its most alert and plastic. Wasting it on doom-scrolling can lead to decision fatigue, decreased productivity, and even poor long-term memory formation.”

The first hour of your day sets the direction for the entire day.

When the mind is fresh and highly receptive, what you feed it matters greatly. Filling that sacred hour with distractions, endless notifications, and mindless scrolling weakens your focus and drains your mental strength.

Instead, invest that time wisely:

• Pray and connect with God

• Meditate on His Word

• Plan your day with clarity

• Feed your mind with uplifting knowledge

The quality of your morning determines the quality of your day, and ultimately the quality of your life.

Guard your mornings.

They are gateways to destiny.
