Building Relationship with God Series: Renewal.

“God’s Presence Is Your Natural Habitat.” Psalm 84:7

When you spend quality and consistent time with God, your life will take a remarkable turn.

In my mother’s dialect, there is a saying: “A bull retreats to regain strength.”

That truth has stayed with me for years. Retreat—what a powerful word. It perfectly describes what happens when we deliberately step back from the noise of life to meet with God. To enjoy renewed strength, we must embrace regular moments of retreat in His presence.

Ingredients for Renewal

1. Set a Specific Time for Fellowship With God. Not the family altar, this time is you alone with God.

He desires you in His presence.

Psalm 55:17

“Evening and morning and at noon I will pray, and cry aloud, and He shall hear my voice.”

Choose a consistent time and guard it jealously. This is where transformation begins.

2. True Worship : John 4:23–24

“But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth…

God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”

To worship in spirit and truth means:

Mean every song in your heart. Direct it intentionally to God. Imagine yourself standing before Him. Not lip worship—heart worship.

One of the easiest ways to retreat and regain strength is true worship.

When you come into that sacred space:

Receive cleansing. Forgive anyone who has hurt you. Ask for forgiveness for anything you may have done. Invite the Holy Spirit to help you worship beyond the surface.

Sing whatever song arises—hymns, choruses, psalms, meaning every word deeply as you release it to God.

3. Silence:The Secret of His Power

Psalm 46:10

“Be still, and know that I am God…”

Silence is a spiritual technology.

In 2012, during a personal retreat, the Lord told me:

“Create for Me an atmosphere for miracles through worship.”

As we prepared for a program titled “Worship & Miracles, the Lord added:

“…in the moment of silence, I move; I touch with My healing hands.”

And He did.

People began sharing encounters they experienced in the silence, after the worship, when no more songs came, and we simply waited.

After worshipping for a while, you will reach a point where:

There is no more song The Spirit draws you into holy silence. In that moment, listen for His voice.

4. Document Everything

Whatever God reveals—visions, impressions, scriptures, whispers—write it down immediately.

Your journal becomes your spiritual evidence.

How to Start

Begin with simple daily prayer and reading of the Word. Set aside a separate 10–15 minutes daily for worship and fellowship. Then create monthly retreat times:

Suggested patterns:

12 midnight – 7 am, or 10 pm – 5 am, or A full weekend monthly or quarterly retreat.

This is flexible. Choose what works best for you.

Redefining Relationships series: HEALING THE WOUNDED

An Introduction

By Queen Olashore

Heartbeat of God Publications

Every life carries a story.

Every story carries a wound.

Sometimes the wound is loud and obvious;

sometimes it is silent, buried beneath layers of strength, duty, and survival.

People smile, serve, lead, give, and function;yet behind the smiles may lie bruises that words never fully capture.Wounds of betrayal.Wounds of family jealousy.Wounds of comparison.Wounds of abandonment.

Wounds from relationships that broke the heart.Wounds from friendships that fractured without warning.Wounds from expectations that were never met.

These wounds are not physical,

yet they reshape how people love, trust, believe, relate, and see themselves.

A wounded heart becomes guarded.

A wounded heart becomes fearful.

A wounded heart misinterprets love, struggles with peace, and becomes allergic to vulnerability.

But there is hope.“There is a Balm in Gilead” a divine healing that goes deeper than human comfort, deeper than counselling, deeper than time, deeper than the mind’s ability to forget.God still heals. He heals the hidden places. He restores the broken pieces. He touches the memories that still sting. He revives the heart that has shut down from too many disappointments.

Healing the Wounded is a journey,a gentle but powerful pathway into emotional freedom, spiritual clarity, and inner restoration.

This introduction begins with the truth:

You cannot love well when you are bleeding within.

You cannot trust deeply when your heart is trembling.

Where healing is absent, fear becomes the interpreter of every relationship.

But when the wounded heart encounters God’s restoring power,it becomes whole again, strong again, open again and capable of healthy, joyful, destiny-driven relationships. This is where healing begins. This is where wholeness starts.

This is the invitation:

Come as you are and let the Healer touch the places you stopped talking about.
